My favorite recipe to make with canned salmon is is salmon chowder soup. It’s a delicious, filling hearty soup with the ease and nutritional oomph that comes with salmon.
– 3 tbsp. butter
– 2 onions, diced
– 3 tbsp flour
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/8 tsp pepper
– 2 c. boiling water
– 3 med. potatoes, diced
– 8 oz. canned salmon
– 2 c. milk
Melt butter, add onions and saute until soft. Stir in flour and seasonings; add boiling water and potatoes. Simmer until the potatoes are tender (about 15 minutes) Remove the skin and bones from the salmon; add to the soup together with the milk. Bring just to boiling point.
